Security Done Easy is a cybersecurity firm in Harnett County, North Carolina. We work with small businesses across the Raleigh-Durham area, and with clients nationwide.
You shouldn’t need a computer science degree to keep your business safe. That’s the whole idea.
My first job was in steel
I worked for an engineering company in Pittsburgh. We were computerizing mill equipment — ladle metallurgical furnaces, industrial furnaces, rolling mills. I documented the new systems and trained crews.
These were people who knew their business. They had far more experience than I did. My job wasn’t to turn them into computer people or teach them how to do their jobs. It was to map the new system to their existing expertise.
After the mills I moved on to tech — from working on mainframes in the financial industry, to telephony systems, to security software — both on the security vendor and business sides, both on the startup and enterprise sides.
The why
Why I Started Security Done Easy
When small business owners — especially those that don’t always feel heard — find out I’m in security, I get questions, stories, and sometimes confessions. I don’t judge. I listen and help where I can.
Cyber attacks on small businesses continue to increase. Small businesses don’t have the same resources to invest in security the way big companies do. They can also be tempting open doors to their bigger clients. Most small businesses rely on themselves to figure out security or just put it off, thinking they are too small to be bothered with.
Meanwhile, when they do ask for help, they are often talked down to, with fear used as a closing technique.

We are a cybersecurity-first firm. We are not an IT company that added some cybersecurity scans later. This is our expertise.
We look at how your business actually runs — who sends invoices, who has admin access, where customer data lives, whether a stranger can send email pretending to be you. Then we fix what would hurt the most, first.
